WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson’s Biggest Fashion Moments of 2026, From the Pre-game Tunnel to the Met Gala

It’s a big year for WNBA star A’ja Wilson, who just earned the league’s MVP honor for the fifth time in her career and achieved the first three-peat in the award’s history. Not to mention, the second generation of her signature shoe, the Nike A’Two, came out this year.

The Last Vegas Aces center accepted the 2026 WNBA MVP award on Thursday at Michelob ULTRA Arena, her team’s arena. (They are currently 0-2 in the semifinals against the Golden State Valkyries in a best-of-five series.) She dressed up for the occasion in a red satin suit featuring a sharp double-breasted blazer and creased pants. But this was far from her only fashionable moment this year, which has included looks ranging from a custom gown at the Met Gala to on-court sneakers with special meaning.

Ahead of the playoffs, Wilson dressed up for a September home game against the Los Angeles Sparks in a look featuring a Nike Club Rules Oxford shirt which reinvents the country club aesthetic with a loose fit and bold graphic. She paired the shirt with a pleated skirt and kept the preppy aesthetic going with black and white penny loafers and socks.

In a September home game against the Seattle Storm, Wilson wore the Nike A’Two “Ride at DA’wn” sneakers, a special-edition colorway of her signature shoe which pays tribute to coach and former player Dawn Staley, a key figure in Wilson’s life who coached her during her college career at the University of South Carolina. The shoe pays homage to Staley’s iconic 1999 Zoom S5 with her signature logo and a distinctive colorway.

Wilson had a glamorous all-black moment at this year’s WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago. She paired classic pointed-toe pumps with a strapless embellished dress featuring a fitted bodice and sheer skirt. A pair of sheer gloves added to the elegance of the look.

Wilson made her Met Gala debut this year and got ready with WWD for the occasion. She wore a custom gilded atelier Prabal Gurung gown, a strapless piece with a column fit and cape sleeves; the gold theme reached beyond the gown itself as she wore matching shoes and even displayed gold-dipped hands.
